USV IRX-B

Dual function. Half the footprint.

Patented, combination ball and check valve designed for maximum flow and footprint reduction for AI data center CDU systems

Key performance highlights

  • Lowest pressure drop and maximum flow for efficient cooling loops
  • 51%+ footprint reduction vs separate ball and check valves
  • Isolation and backflow prevention combined in one assembly
  • Fewer leak paths and simplified piping layouts
  • Custom-engineered for tight CDU spaces

Pressure spike & backflow protection

The integrated IR check element responds quickly to flow changes, helping mitigate pressure spikes, water hammer, and reverse flow events.

This added layer of protection helps safeguard chips, cold plates, and other sensitive components during startups, shutdowns, and upset conditions within the CDU.

Footprint reduction

By integrating a ball valve and an IR check valve into one compact unit, the combo valve can reduce your valve footprint by 51% or more. This frees up space in dense racks, simplifies manifold layouts, and reduces the number of fittings and joints that must be sealed and inspected.

The result is a cleaner, more compact CDU design with fewer potential leak points and faster installation.

Combined isolation + Check performance

The combo valve’s ball element provides positive isolation for service, while the integrated IR check element prevents reverse flow during operation.

This dual-function approach reduces component count, simplifies specifying and procurement, and streamlines piping without sacrificing safety or performance.

Maximum flow & system efficiency

The Ball & IR Check Valve Combo is engineered to maintain the same high flow and low pressure drop as a standalone IR check valve.

Engineers gain the efficiency benefits of the IR design while consolidating two functions into a single component, enabling lower pump energy use and improved overall cooling performance in AI data centers.
